Mesa Thai Cuisine

Mesa Thai Cuisine, located at 820 N Western Ave #101, Los Angeles, CA 90029, offers an authentic taste of Thailand that transports you to the vibrant streets of Bangkok. With a relaxed atmosphere that mimics the feel of a traditional Thai street food restaurant, Mesa Thai Cuisine stands out for its authentic dishes and flavorful offerings.

The restaurant’s Boat Noodle is a must-try, offering a unique twist on the traditional dish. Unlike other American variations, the version here features a distinct flavor profile that surprises and delights with its bold spices and rich broth. For those seeking something a bit more refreshing, the Lao Papaya Salad is an excellent choice, although it leans towards the sour side rather than the savory-perfect for those who enjoy a tangy bite.

Mesa Thai Cuisine also boasts a wide range of classic Thai dishes that cater to all tastes. The Tom Yum Noodle, especially with chicken, is an explosion of flavor, with the spice level being a bit higher than expected, so it’s best to be prepared for a real kick. Other favorites include the Isaan Sausages and Tum Korat, both of which showcase the restaurant’s commitment to authentic Thai flavors. One standout is the Mango Salad with Raw Blue Crabs, which perfectly captures the fresh and vibrant taste of Thailand. The crunchy papaya and well-seasoned ingredients make it a standout choice.

Although parking can be a challenge due to the small plaza where Mesa Thai Cuisine is located, the food and atmosphere more than make up for it. Despite the limited service staff, the restaurant maintains a friendly vibe, and the food comes out with impressive consistency.

Mesa Thai Cuisine is an ideal destination for those seeking genuine Thai flavors in Los Angeles, where each dish brings the true taste of Thailand to life.

The boat noodle here is special. You won't find a whole lot of other places that makes it this way. Also its not your typical american boat noodle so try with an open taste bud. I was told to go to another spot that starts with an S (I won't call it out) but it's was terrible and not even in the same level as Mesa. The lao papaya salad is good but not great. It was more on the sour side than the savory but worth a try.

I've heard about this place for a while,So I decided to give it a chance and here is what I think. Vibe : Look just like street food restaurant in Thailand which I like,It's felt authentic. Service : When I was there look like they only have 1 server for the whole entire restaurant,So service might not be the fastest but not that bad. Parking : Quite a pain because the restaurant located in a small plaza and parking spot was narrow which street parking might be better options but I got lucky that day when I was there the spot right in front of the restaurant was open. Food : We order a bunch of stuffs which we love all of them.A Tom Yum noodle with chicken was great but be careful with spice level because their chili was quite spicier that everywhere else.Tum Korat was good! Papaya was crunchy and seasoned very well.Isaan sausages was good as well.My favorite was Mango Salad with Raw Blue Crabs! It taste just like Thailand! To die for! I didn't live in Hollywood but if I have a chance to be in the area I'll definitely be back!

Fried tofu is fantastic! I don't usually eat tofu, but fried tofu has no strong smell at all. The corn salad was also tasty, and I really enjoyed the meal! I believe the person who took our order might be the owner, and he was so friendly and kind!

No frills restaurant. Ample parking in their lot, and street parking. Their dishes all have the fragrant, bright flavors of Thailand that I craved for so long. Beef salad was flavorful, aromatic, light. Love the dressing. Panang curry was very flavorful but the veggies were like frozen veggies. All proteins were pretty low quality but made you full.
